THE Federal Ministry of Women Affairs has partnered with the National Agency for the Control of AIDS (NACA), United Nations (UN) and European Union (EU) to launch the ‘Risk Communication and Community Engagement project.’
The project, initiated under the UN Basket Fund support to the National COVID-19 Multi-sectoral Pandemic Response in Nigeria, is establishedto help mitigate the negative impact of COVID-19 on vulnerable households and women living with HIV/AIDS in Nigeria.
The Director-General of NACA Dr. Gambo Aliyu, and the Hon. Minister for Women Affairs and Co-Chair of the project, Dame Mrs. Pauline Tallen noted that the pandemic is impacting all aspects of human life and that together as a nation, key stakeholders have been working to reach the down trodden vulnerable women and households.
