The national leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu, has urged leaders to govern with a view to handing over a vibrant and strengthened nation to young Nigerians.
Tinubu made the statement after he was conferred with an honorary degree of humane letters by Ibrahim Badamosi Babangida University, Lapai, Niger state.
The APC chieftain said the true greatness of Nigeria rests on the youths. He noted that the youths need to be equipped through education entrenched on innovation and new technology to carry out their roles in society.
He advised higher institutions in the country to embrace innovation and new technology as a means of equipping youths for progress in the 21st Century.
“Education is the light of a nation, the lamp that helps us see where we are, and the path we must take to realise our greatness. To educate a generation is to secure that path and that greatness, Tinubu said.
He also urged Nigerians to work individually and collectively in ensuring that the affairs of the country are directed in a way that will allow the hand over of a vibrant and strengthened nation to young leaders.
