Governor Bello Matawalle of Zamfara State has said the presidential bid of Tinubu/Shettima will boost the spirit of power rotation in the country.
In a statement yesterday in Abuja by the spokesman to the coordinator, Dr. Anas Anka, the governor said this in Kaduna when he hosted members of the ‘S7-4-BATS-2023,’ a pro-APC political organization at the council’s office.
He said Nigerians and especially northerners would live to see reasons to support the candidature of Tinubu/Shettima’s presidential bid.
Matawalle assured Nigerians that the Tinubu/Shettima Presidential Campaign Council would synergize with groups and associations to achieve success for all APC candidates in the zone.
The governor advised them to expand the scope of their coverage in the zone, adding that his office, as coordinator, would give them the necessary support to ease their operations.
Also, a former Chief of Army Staff (COAS) and ex-Nigerian Ambassador to the Benin Republic, Lt.-Gen. Tukur Buratai (retd.), has sought support for Asiwaju Tinubu.
“We have received assurances from Asiwaju Tinubu. So, by and large, I believe Nigeria has a great future and will do a lot to ensure that we continue to support the present government and the next government that will be coming,” he said.
Buratai said the recent discovery and commitment to drilling for oil in the Northeast and redesigning of the naira notes were some of the commendable achievements of the administration.
