An evil mum-of-five has admitted pouring boiling water on a 3-year-old boy as punishment for peeing on the floor in a “house of horrors”.
Patricia Buchan, 29, scalded the helpless child in her care at a grim apartment in Newark, New Jersey, last December.
On Friday, she admitted carrying out the sick punishment – and now faces up to five years in prison.
She said she ordered the terrified toddler to strip off and get into a bath tub after he peed on the floor, ABC7 News reports.
Buchan then tipped an entire pot of boiling water over the screaming child’s body – leaving him with second degree burns.
Assistant Prosecutor Michael Morris said on Friday: “This child lived his first three years in a house of horrors.
“Today’s plea resolves the case without the ordeal of the children having to testify.”
Five other adults had originally been arrested along with Buchan accused of being complicit in the abuse.
The six adults and five children – four of whom are Buchan’s and aged one to seven – lived in the cramped 2nd floor apartment.
