Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State says the state is investing in strategic economic development to help build and grow businesses, as well as tackle rising challenges.
The governor spoke during the graduation of 1,140 unemployed youths trained under the Information Technology (IT)-enabled entrepreneurship skills and mentorship programme of the Ministry of Wealth Creation and Employment.
He reiterated the state’s readiness to deliver results by supporting the youth to create vibrant economies in the communities.
Sanwo-Olu was represented by the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Mrs Sherifat Folashade Jaji.
Jaji noted that the government was executing an aggressive strategy for knowledge exchange and capacity development training for youths in the startup and social entrepreneurship scene.
She added that everything would be done to enable them to turn their ideas into reality through innovation and entrepreneurship.
