Sanwo-Olu lauded for improving workers’ welfare

Head of Service (HoS) in Lagos State, Mr. Hakeem Muri-Okunola has applauded Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu for improving workers’ welfare.

While briefing reporters at the weekend on the preparation for the 2022 Public Service Week, he said the theme of this year’s celebration is titled: “Building Back Better From COVID-19; Enhancing Innovative Partnerships to Meet the Sustainable Development Goals”, was meant to prepare workers for the task ahead.

Muri-Okunola said: “This year’s Public Service Week will focus on the role of the public institutions and the public servants in building back better from the CoronaVirus pandemic. This will be done while keeping the 2030 deadline for implementing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in focus.”

He added that the state would focus on the role of the public institutions and the public servants in building back better from the pandemic.

He also said the governor was committed to prioritizing staff matters and the approval and hosting of the Public Service Week annually, adding that Sanwo-Olu recognized the contributions of public servants to the achievements of the government.

The celebration, according to God, would focus on encouraging youths to pursue careers in public service.
