It has been gathered that fifty-two babies, comprising 35 boys and 17 girls, have been delivered at the ongoing 70th annual convention of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.
The 52 deliveries happened cumulatively as the global event, which attracted millions of Christians from over 190 countries, entered the fourth day yesterday.
It featured song renditions, bible teachings, prophetic ministration, business seminars, different sporting competitions, and free feeding, among others.
The General Overseer of the church, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, had earlier spoken of how God delivered him in one of his trying times.
The cleric said God used a text message from one of his children to turn around his life for the better during a critical time of his life.
“The text message from my daughter terminated sadness in my life during one of the most trying times in my life. All she said was: ‘Daddy, let God carry you.’ And that put an end to all my problems. It ended my sorrow. It renewed my faith,” he said.
He said: “You don’t survive because you are careful. You survive because somebody cares for you. He brought you this far.
“Do you think He will abandon you? Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, I never saw a single person in my village, Ifewara, wearing a face mask and not a single one of them died as a result of the pandemic.”
