Osun: Supreme court ruling vindicates judiciary as unbiased, says Tinubu

The All Progressives Congress (APC) National Leader, Sen. Bola Tinubu, has said the verdict delivered by the Supreme Court on the Osun governorship elections vindicates the judiciary as unbiased, independent and impartial.

Tinubu made this statement in press briefing titled “Supreme Court Verdict on Osun: Testimony that Judiciary is on Course,” on Friday in Lagos.

The APC chieftain commended the judiciary for dispensing its duties without fear or favour. In his words, “The court did not rule based on any hearsay but acted based on the merits and demerits of the case before it.

“The Supreme Court and the Judiciary, therefore, deserve our commendation for it has further strengthened the democratic process.

He added that the judgment which reaffirmed the victory of Gov. Gboyega Oyetola was a testimony that the judiciary was firmly on course and worked in sync with the peoples’ aspiration.

Tinubu congratulated Governor Gboyega Oyetola on his victory, and further urged him to be magnanimous in victory by extending his hands of fellowship to the Peoples Democratic Party and continue to unite the people.
