No less than 1,313 corps members completed the mandatory one year service to their fatherland in Ondo State, disclosed the state Coordinator of the National Youth Service Corps, Mrs Grace Akpabio on Friday.
She said this in her farewell address to the 2018 Batch ‘C’ (Stream 2) corps members who were discharged from the national service.
In her message sent through the assistant directors in all the local government areas of the state, Akpabio said out of the corps members that received a certificate of national service, three got state honours award and 15 collected state coordinator’s commendation certificates.
She noted that 18 of the number were however sanctioned for disobeying the rules and regulations of the corps.
The NYSC boss urged outgoing corps members to use the training acquired during service to “advance their cause for better today and guaranteed tomorrow.”
