Nigerian installed as international president of MWIA

Nigeria’s Dr. Eleanor Nwadinobi who is the erstwhile sitting President of the Medical Women’s International Association, has been re-installed by the international body.

Nwadinobi was reelected for a second term which starts from the year 2022 to the year 2025.

This happened at a 3-Day event which marked the 32nd International Congress of the association, organized by the Medical Women’s International Association (MWIA), and the Taiwan Medical Women’s Association (TMWA) held from Jun 24 – 26, 2022 at Taipei International Convention Center (TICC), Taipei, Taiwan.

The 2022-2025 MWIA had as its Triennial theme: ‘One Humanity: Health Solutions through our partnerships.’

The event in Taipei, Taiwan, also witnessed the country hosting over 1000 doctors, researchers, residents, students and guests from different corners of the globe, from June 24-26, 2022.

Founded in 1919, the Medical Women’s International Association has, for over a hundred years, directed its efforts and resources to proactively empower women in medicine and to continuously strive to improve the health and wellbeing of women and girls and their communities around the world.
