NDDC: President Buhari set to act on forensic audit report, says Akpabio

Federal Government has received forensic audit report of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) conducted by auditors hired in April 2021.

Niger Delta Affairs Minister Godswill Akpabio, who received the report, assured correspondents in Abuja yesterday, that President Muhammadu Buhari would speedily act on it.

Buhari had directed that an audit be carried out on the projects executed by the NCDC after a flurry of complaints about mismanagement of funds by the managers of the intervention agency.

Briefing reporters yesterday, Akpabio said the government would study the report to point out salient areas that Buhari would rely upon for further action.

“This assignment was from the Commander-in-Chief, President Buhari, though being supervised by the Niger Delta Affairs Ministry,” Akpabio said.
