The Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has reinstated Emirates Airlines 21 weekly winter frequencies to Lagos and Abuja, after canceling its one weekly flight.
In a letter dated December 21, 2021, NCAA Director-General, Capt. Musa Nuhu announced this to the Emirates Country Manager in Nigeria.
The letter reads: “Following further consultation with various stakeholders and the letter from the Dubai CAA, with reference number DCAA/ASA/N-3/016, dated December 17, 2021, offering Air Peace Airlines daily slots at Dubai airports, I wish to inform you of the reinstatement of the ministerial approval of Emirates Airlines winter schedule.”
The new flight schedule Follo d the Emirates authority’s decision to grant Nigeria flag carrier airline, Air Peace seven weekly frequencies.
The letter also said: “This approval is predicated on compliance with Dubai travel protocols as released by the Dubai airports on Friday, November 26, as it affects passengers.”
The Nigerian Foreign Affairs Ministry had written to the UAE’s Foreign Ministry to know the steps to take.
