The leadership of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) has lauded the Group Executive of Oxford Group, Dr Teniola Adesanya for empowering over 100 graduates and payment of school fees of about 85 indigent students in Ogun State.
Public Relations Officer of NANS, Comrade Azeez Adeyemi, in a statement in Abuja, on Tuesday, said Adesanya recently contacted NANS leadership and asked for a list of students finding it difficult to pay tuition fees and he paid tuition fees of 85 students in Ogun state alone.
He said, “Although as students we might not have gold or money to give to Dr Teniola Adesanya for rescuing many of our students from being a dropout but we shall write his name in gold and as well tell both God and humanity about his gesture.
“He has grown up over 100 graduate and youth to be a real estate entrepreneur and as well made Managing Directors within and outside real estate business.
“He has also employed over 500 students and youths through direct employment and engagement. He is one of the supporter and mover of housing deficit reduction in Nigeria,” he said.
Adeyemi said in line with this outstanding philanthropic gesture, the National body of the National Association of Nigerian Students, NANS has resolved to confer a philanthropic award of the year on him.
He said in the presence of national leaders of NANS, the investiture of Dr Adesanya would be performed this Saturday.
“This programme will, however, serve as a point of contact for other well-meaning Nigerians to channel their resources to the development of our collective interest as a country and most particularly the development of the youths and students,” he said.
