Netherlands Prime Minister, Mark Rutte has spoken on the population size of Nigeria, noting that he is overwhelmed by the country’s size and population.
He expressed his view after meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari in Abuja.
He noted that Lagos State alone has more people living there than the whole of the Netherlands.
Rutte came to Nigeria on a two-day visit to review and strengthen bilateral relations and trade ties with Nigeria.
He spoke of his impression on Nigeria, “Nigeria is huge. It is an honour to be here in Nigeria.
“It’s my first visit to Nigeria and as I said at the lunch meeting, I am very impressed.
“Everything in this country is huge, is big. It’s 20 times the size of the Netherlands and more people live in Lagos than the whole of my country.”
