Former ITV royal editor Tim Ewart, has claimed that the Duchess of Sussex is under even more scrutiny now that members of the public are constantly filming or taking photos of the Royals.
Appearing on Yahoo’s The Royal Box podcast, the Royal expert said, “When it was Diana, there were photographers, there were camera men, people weren’t using smart phones.
“Now every single person that a member of the Royal Family meets has a smart phone up. Every single word that is said, doesn’t matter where the TV cameras are, doesn’t matter where the snappers, the photographers, they can be anywhere.”
The royal expert warned that “nothing is private anymore” and that Prince Harry failed to “explain just how intense” life as a Royal can be.
Commenting on the intense public scrutiny, Tim acknowledged that “every single expression, movement, comment” has the potential to be front page news.
Last week, unearthed footage from a Royal Family fan account showed Meghan confessing to Pharrell “they don’t make it easy” as she opened up about her struggles with public life at the Lion King premiere.
