The Chairman of the National Union of Road Transport Workers, NURTW, Lagos State, Musiliu Akinsanya, a.k.a MC Oluomo, has admonished transport operators to adhere to the government’s transportation guidelines in a bid to curb the spread of coronavirus.
MC Oluomo who made his admonition in a statement he personally signed, warned operators against overcrowded parks and vehicles among others.
The NURTW Chairman also called for the provision of alcohol-based sanitizers across the parks in the state and temperature reader to test passengers before boarding the buses.
He further urged all transport operators to observe hygiene practices during the period of the pandemic crisis.
He, however, warned that those caught violating the guidelines would be dealt with.
Recall that the state government through the Lagos Bus Services Limited (LBSL) had last week warned against passengers standing in buses.
