The Legal Practitioners’ Privileges Committee (LPPC) has published a list of 129 lawyers to be considered for the award of the rank of Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) this year.
According to a notice, the list comprises 73 practicing lawyers or advocates, and 56 academics or lawyers in academia.
The Chief Registrar of the Supreme Court/Secretary of the LPPC, Hajo Sarki Bello, signed the notice.
The notice said applicants were graded based on an LPPC integrity system, under paragraphs 12 (2) and 20 of the LPPC Guidelines 2018.
The LPPC asked the public to vet the qualifications of the candidates and send their comments and complaints no later than 4 p.m on July 18.
