Veteran Fuji singer, Wasiu Ayinde, popularly known as K1 De Ultimate, has released a new album, to ease people’s nerves amid the Coronavirus pandemic.
He stated that the new album would serve as a means of escape in the wake of the impact of the pandemic on daily lives.
He said, “Fuji has in many ways been a feel-good and jolly music. COVID-19 has done enough damage financially, mentally and emotionally to so many people. Some good Fuji music at this time to douse the tension and serve as a means of escape wouldn’t be a bad idea.”
“I have been working on this album for two years to include some of my favourite new school artistes.”
On the inspiration behind the lead single of the EP titled, ‘Awade’, the veteran singer said, “Just like the other songs on the EP, ‘Awade’ is a blend of authentic fuji music and new school undertones.”
