The leaders of the 28 groups that raised funds and secured expression of interest and nomination forms for the President, Africa Development Bank (AfDB), Dr. Akinwunmi Adesina, are yet to get his approval.
This is coming barely three days to the submission of completed forms.
Checkout Magazine gathered that the group was yet to meet and discuss with Adesina their intention to draw him into the 2023 presidential race.
Indication of this came to the fore yesterday as leaders of the coalition group that paid the N100 million admitted that they were yet to contact the former Minister of Agriculture.
Adesina is currently in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire, the headquarters of the continental financial institution.
A leader of one of the 28 groups and founder of Youth Arise Movement (YAM), Mr. Babatunde Ademola, yesterday confirmed the challenges being faced in reaching out to their preferred candidate.
