Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila, has congratulated President Muhammadu Buhari on his victory at the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal on Wednesday.
He said that with this judgement, a precedent has been set for electoral matters in the country.
The Speaker, in a statement issued on Wednesday, congratulated the national leadership of the ruling All Progressives Congress and the members of the APC family nationwide for the victory and also commended the Peoples Democratic Party and its presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, for “testing the court.”
He also applauded the Nigerian judiciary, especially members of the tribunal, for doing their job without fear or favour.
The tribunal, in an eight-hour judgment, dismissed the petition by the Peoples Democratic Party and its presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar.
