Attorney-General of the Federation (AGF) Abubakar Malami and the Director-General of the Department of State Service (DSS), Yusuf Bichi, have denied seizing the international passports of the leader of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria (IMN), Ibrahim El-Zakzaky, and his wife, Zeenah.
They also refuted the couple’s claim of being prevented from traveling abroad for another round of medical checks.
Malami and Bichi decried the allegation by El-Zakzaky and his wife that the Federal Government frustrated their last medical trip to India in 2019.
According to the AGF and the DSS boss, the IMN leader’s “cantankerous acts” accounted for their being sent back from India.
These were contained in their separate counter-affidavits filed in response to the fundamental rights enforcement suits filed by the couple at the Federal High Court in Abuja.
