Ibadan has witnessed another reported rape and murder of a lady identified as Mary Daramola, raising concerns that the community is fast becoming an hotspot for criminal activities.
This comes after the Police re-arrested suspected serial killer, Sunday Shodipe earlier in the week after he escaped from custody on August 11.
It was gathered that Daramola was allegedly raped and killed at Alabata community, near Moniya, in Akinyele Local Government Area.
According to the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) in Oyo State, Mr. Olugbenga Fadeyi, the incident happened on Monday, August 24, the NATION reports.
He said a suspect has been arrested over the incident, adding that he has been transferred to the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) for investigation.
