Lagos and Kano States have tested the highest number of COVID-19 samples since the outbreak of the pandemic, according to a report from the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC).
Lagos tested the highest with 72,225 samples. The FCT and Kano verified 29,891 and 29,762 samples.
While other states like Oyo, Edo and Kaduna states also carried out 16,598; 12,133 and 11,121 tests respectively.
But, the report indicated that states like Kogi, Yobe and Cross River have tested the least numbera of COVID-19 samples – 97, 195 and 250.
The report also indicated that Kogi State last reported a COVID-19 case 25 days ago.
As at the time of this report, the total number of COVID-19 tests carried out across the country were 272,748, with case fatality ratio at 2.1 per cent and number of deaths at 868.
