Tokunbo Abiru, the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the Lagos east senatorial bye-election, has emerged winner.
Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), announced that Abiru polled a total of 89,204 votes while Babatunde Gbadamosi, his Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) rival, secured 11,257 votes.
Recall that the Lagos East Senatorial seat had become vacant following the demise of Senator Bayo Osinowo. Abiru who defeated his opponents will replace him at the legislative chamber in Abuja
