The family of former Oyo State Governor, Abiola Ajimobi has dismissed as false reports suggesting the death of the All Progressive Congress chieftain.
Reacting to the news, his daughter-in-law Mrs. Fatima Ganduje-Ajimobi tweeted, “THANK you for all the messages but our father is still alive, alhamdulillah. When it is our time we will all die. So, wait first…”
Also debunking the death report, Ajimobi’s Special Adviser on Communication and Strategy Bolaji Tunji urged Nigerians urged to disregard the report.
Mr Tunji wrote in a statement, “My attention has been drawn to the rumours circulating on the social media about my principal, kindly disregard. We however continue to pray for him. Thank you all for the show of concern.”
This comes on the heels of online media reports claiming that Ajimobi died in Lagos at about 8pm.
