The Lagos State Physical Planning Permit Authority (LASPPA), has condemned the conversion of residential offices for commercial purposes.
The General Manager of LASPPPA, Kehinde Osinaike, cautioned residents against such acts at the Agency’s enforcement exercise within the Ikeja axis of the state on Thursday.
The warning was contained in a statement by the government titled, ‘LASPPPA Warns Against Haphazard Development.’
In the statement, Osinaike stated that residents should desist from using their property for purposes other than those approved by the Agency.
As a result of using the properties without ministry authorization, Osinaike directed the sealing of some buildings.
He also implored the general public to desist from illegal development in the collective interest of all residents.
