Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun has affirmed his faith in the indivisibility of Nigeria and the country’s ability to prevent another civil war.
He expressed optimism about an imminent resolution of the socio-economic challenges confronting the country.
Abiodun admitted that although the country was going through a difficult time following insecurity and other challenges, he expressed faith that Nigerians would overcome the situation.
He spoke when he hosted the League of Imams and Alfas in the state at his Iperu country home, as part of the Eid-el-Kabir celebration.
The governor urged Nigerians not to give up, but should continue to have faith and trust in God.
The leadership of the National Association of Nigerian Students, Ogun State chapter, and the national leadership of the National Association Ogun State Students yesterday passed a vote of confidence in the Governor Abiodun administration.
In a Sallah message signed by Comrade Damilola Kehinde (Chairman, National Association of Nigerian Students, Ogun axis) and Comrade Gbemileke Ogunronbi (National President, National Association of Ogun State Students), the student leaders said they arrived at the decision following the governor’s interventions and success recorded in the education sector.
