Power Minister Saleh Mammam has promised Nigerians that his ministry will ensure an improvement in the country’s electricity supply.
Mamman made the pledge while addressing reporters during the Eid-el-Kabir celebration in Jalingo, then Taraba State capital.
The minister said communities that were underserved will soon begin to enjoy regular service.
He also assured communities that had not been connected to the national grid that alternative sources of power generation would be provided for them.
The minister advised agitators to give peace a chance and contribute to the “One Nigeria’s project”.
He added: “We do not have another country of our own. So, we must join hands to build the Nigeria of our dream.”
