Over 200 Nigerians arrive Lagos from the UK

More than 200 Nigerians repatriated from the United Kingdom arrived the country yesterday, in the wake of the Coronavirus pandemic.

The evacuees were stranded in the United Kingdom as a result of the coronavirus arrived the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos 01.43 pm.

Confirming their arrival, Chairman, Nigerians in Diaspora Commission, Abike Dabiri-Erewa, posted on her official Twitter handle.

She said, “The first evacuation from the Uk has landed in Lagos. The passengers will be proceeding to Abuja where they will be on 14-day compulsory isolation.”

TVC also reports that a British Airways flight was seen evacuating British citizens from the country at the departure wing of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos, the British airways plane was also evacuating British citizens out of the country.

The British Deputy High Commissioner to Nigeria said it is the last confirmed flight to the UK for now.
