Ahead of the 2023 elections, the All Progressives Congress (APC) Professionals Council has held a two–million-man rally in solidarity for the presidential candidate Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.
The professionals said the march was to sensitize Nigerians on the need to elect credible leaders in 2023.
It was held simultaneously in six geo-political zones, was led by zonal coordinators, and supported by state coordinators.
Its Director-General Seyi Bamigbade, who addressed reporters after the march in Lagos, reiterated that the exercise was necessary to demonstrate the readiness of Nigerians to vote Tinubu as the next president, as well as re-elect Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu in Lagos.
He said: “There is a growing call on Tinubu to take over the affairs of our nation because of his pedigree in leadership and management. This is a man who is the brain behind the development Lagos is witnessing today because he drew the roadmap that his successors are building.
”This is a man who has raised leaders who today are occupying sensitive positions, forming the building blocks in the development of our country.”
Bamigbade, in hopes that Tinubu will be victorious in the election, said another mega march in support of Tinubu will be held before the year ends. He urged all Nigerians to queue behind Tinubu for a more progressive and united country.
