2023 Election: APC speakers vow to work for party victory

The All Progressives Congress (APC) House of Assembly Speakers have pledged to work for the party’s electoral victory, come the 2023 general election.

They vowed to ensure the party’s presidential flag-bearer, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and his running mate, Senator Kashim Shettima, emerge victorious at the polls.

The Speakers disclosed this yesterday during a congratulatory visit to the Abuja residence of the APC standard bearer.

Their visit was allegedly to congratulate Tinubu on his victory at the party’s recent special convention where he was elected candidate and to also pledge their support to him and his running mate ahead of the general election.

The speakers who visited Tinubu include Mudashiru Obasa of Lagos State, Olakunke Oluomo of Ogun State, Idris Garba of Jigawa State, Kennedy Ibeh of Imo State, Eteng Williams of Cross River State, Funminiyi Afuye of Ekiti State and Oleyelogun Bamidele of Ondo State.

Others are Abdulkarim Lawan of Borno State, Abdullahi Bawa Wuse of Niger, Ahmed Lawan Mirwa of Yobe, Musa Maigari of Katsina, and Siddi Buba, deputy speaker of Gombe.

Elated by the visit of the Speakers, Tinubu promised them active roles in his campaigns ahead of the 2023 general election.
