Director-General of the Tinubu Support Management Council, Abdulmumin Jibrin, said yesterday that the All Progressives Congress (APC) National Leader, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, currently has the support of 14 state governors.
Jibrin announced on his Twitter account that four other governors are in talks to join the train but he gave no details.
“14 Governors in and 4 in talks. 26 state chairmen in. We will not attack or stop anybody from contesting,” he said.
He added: “We (are) exercising our right of choice by promoting Alhaji Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu. Do the same for your PLS. We will remain gracious and our doors open now and after the victories.”
Tinubu is currently consulting ahead of his formal declaration for the contest.
Recall that he had, last month, informed President Muhammadu Buhari of his decision to run for the office.
